Dear Students, Advisors, and Guests,

It’s my greatest pleasure to announce the reopening of TCGSMUN and to sincerely welcome you to our fifth conference as the Secretary General of TCGSMUN VI. Over the past few months, an incredible amount of hard work and commitment was made by the organizing team to realize our aspirations and deliver the best conference experience possible.

Each year, TCGSMUN prides itself on the high academic quality we offer despite our limited resources as a local school. This year, we are more than excited to introduce a new committee, UN Women, to the conference with strong hopes that it will bring new and distinctive colors to the conference as a whole.

As technology continues its rapid speed of development, it is crucial that humans should hold and seize one of its most valuable assets: the mind. A creative and critical mindset is what holds humans as superior, which happens to be what matters the most in Model UN. Throughout conferences, delegates get to propose their ideas and engage in open dialogues with other delegates to push simple ideas into feasible solutions. I’d like to encourage all of you to remain open-minded and innovative, for every single one of your opinions are valued.

Last but not least, along with our student officers, I sincerely welcome you to TCGSMUN VI and hope it becomes one of your most memorable experiences in hopefully not just MUN, but in life.

Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

It is with greatest pleasure that I cordially invite you to join us for TCGS Model United Nations Conference VII (TCGS MUN VI) in Taichung World Trade Center from Saturday, June 2 to Sunday, June 3! Since 2011, TCGS Model United Nations has brought together high school students from across Taiwan to discuss the most pressing challenges facing our world and to work together to develop solutions to these issues. At our previous conferences, delegations in attendance usually hailed from over 100, and for years, we never stop to expand our scope and vision while at the same time striving to maintain the quality performance that we regard a great conference should render delegates.

What is TCGSMUN?

With the mission of boosting public awareness on international issues and promoting Model United Nations education in Taiwan, TCGSMUN is a two-day annual conference hosted by Taichung Girls' Senior High School in Taichung. As Model United Nations’ popularity booms in Taiwan and both the number and scale of conferences expand year by year, TCGSMUN prides itself on its uncompromising quality of any single aspect. With TCGS MUN club’s well-renowned academic standard and administrative capability, as well as dais team’s passion and professionalism, the organizing team is proud to present months of hard work to all high school MUN enthusiasts in Taiwan and honored to have them be part of TCGSMUN’s new start.
